If you're growing plants for food, it's easy to print parts that are food contact safe, meaning they won't leach toxic chemicals into the nutrient solution.

• Use a lead-free stainless steel nozzle. (The brass nozzles commonly used contain lead at very low levels unlikely to cause toxicity problems, but it's easy to eliminate this worry by switching to an inexpensive lead-free steel nozzle.)
