this is maybe outside the scope of this document, but another thought i have is regarding creation of recipes as part of the library contribution?

for example - when you create something new, all the files, input requirements, the methods, etc. should be available to the commonwealth (either through some sort of recipe file or something else entirely)

This all makes good sense to me. The collective functions because individuals make it function, and making explicit what's expected of members helps define the culture of cooperation that's needed here.
